House of Curves is a collaboration of plus size sewing bloggers bringing you content through blog tours, monthly themes and inspiration. A lot of us are pattern testers and Brand Ambassadors for many different Indie Pattern Companies as well as Fabric Shops. We post so that other plus size women can find a body that looks like theirs. You can find an exclusive “Blogger Bodies” album in our group where you can find your closest body match, or style match, so you know who to watch! If you have an idea for something you would like to see us do, reach out to us on our Facebook page.
Personal Stories is our first blog tour as a group. Not only does it introduce you to each of the original HOC Blogger Babes, but gives a chance to see our testing stories: how we got our start and why.
In November, Amanda of cut.sew.make led us in our first inspiration series, “Break The Rules: Stripes”. We celebrated how plus sized women really CAN wear stripes – and look gorgeous while breaking the fashion rules!
In January, Sequoia Lynn Sews helped us conquer or fears with Prints. Wearing prints, mixing prints, loving prints! She’s got all kinds of inspiration and examples, plus multiple giveaways and she stole the HOC Instagram for the month.
In February, Aaronica stole our IG account and showed us all how she rocks life with everything Mini. I’m talking mini skirts, crop tops, short shorts. It’s the month of love and we need to love our bodies enough to let them show!
March brought us a Romper Edition, with Nikki bringing us inspiration and ideas for rompers from so many size inclusive designers that we love. Plus, hacks on how to mash two patterns into a romper, free patterns, discount codes and a bunch of giveaways!
